A survey of British tourists by Visit Britain found nearly 40 per cent are more likely to go on a holiday in the UK in the next six months compared with the previous year.
The boom in staycations is driving demand for Aqualand Industries’ range of electrical-powered leisure vehicles. It designs and manufactures the six-wheeled Crazi-bugz and Adventure Trukz for leisure companies across the UK.
The company expects further growth as it plans to expand its product range to meet customer demand and seeks export growth.
Commenting on the expansion, Carl Byford, general manager of Aqualand Industries, said: “We’ve placed innovation and advanced engineering at the heart of our business. We set out to become a revenue-generation partner and a one-stop shop for the leisure industry. It’s an approach that has attracted an enviable client list of holiday and theme parks, along with campsites and country houses that are seeking new ways of driving additional revenue and keeping young people entertained.”
Aqualand Industries works in partnership with leisure destinations to help them drive additional revenue. The company offers leasing, full purchase or a mixture of both to provide operators with the flexibility they need to introduce the range of products.
Aqualand Industries also provides maintenance and service to its customers for its own products and other kit operated by the customer at its locations.
The Crazi-bugz and Adventure Trukz are designed for children aged from four to 14 years old. Each vehicle comes with a host of safety features to keep riders safe.
Experienced engineers manufacture the vehicles in Holmfirth to ensure they are robust and meet exacting standards. It owns a number of patents for leisure vehicles, including a motorised surfboard.
Mr Byford concluded: “There is a global market for our leisure vehicles, and we will continue to ramp up production capacity in our Yorkshire manufacturing facility. Families are always looking for new and safe ways to keep their children entertained, and we have a growing range of motorised vehicles to keep them smiling all holiday.”
