Parkdean Resorts – Off-Road Rangers Installation at Vauxhall & Highfield Grange

Highfield Grange Parkdean

In March 2026, Aqualand Industries delivered 16 Adventure Trukz vehicles to Parkdean Resorts as part of a £10 million redevelopment across two of its flagship destinations: Vauxhall Holiday Park (Norfolk) and Highfield Grange (Essex).

Rebranded on-site as “Off-Road Rangers”, the installation forms part of a wider investment into enhancing on-park activities and overall guest experience ahead of the 2026 season.

On site the rangers are now ready to go but awaiting the new Track which is currently under construction. On the delivery of the vehicles Aqualand trained the staff on how to operate the new vehicles.

The Opportunity

As part of its wider investment programme, Parkdean Resorts set out to further strengthen its activity offering across both parks.

The focus was clear:

• Add variety to the existing activity mix
• Introduce engaging experiences for younger guests
• Deliver attractions that are easy to operate within a busy park environment

The Off-Road Rangers are now in place and ready for operation, with the track currently under construction. As part of the delivery, Aqualand provided on-site training to staff to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the vehicles.

The Solution

Aqualand Industries supplied 16 Adventure Trukz, purpose-built electric vehicles designed to deliver a safe, engaging off-road driving experience for children.

At both parks, the vehicles have been introduced as Off-Road Rangers, an interactive, family-friendly activity tailored specifically to younger visitors and designed to complement the evolving needs of modern leisure parks.

The solution offers:

• A dedicated children’s driving experience
• High visual impact within the park environment
• A flexible, low impact, sustainable attraction that integrates alongside existing activities

Designed with simplicity in mind, the experience allows parks to introduce a high-engagement activity without the complexity of larger-scale infrastructure, supporting a more adaptable, experience-led approach to park development.

Implementation

All 16 vehicles were delivered in March 2026, with track construction currently underway at both Vauxhall Holiday Park and Highfield Grange as part of the wider Parkdean upgrade.

The installation was delivered as a turnkey solution, ensuring efficient deployment with minimal disruption to existing park operations.

The Off-Road Rangers experience has been carefully planned to sit within the parks’ wider activity zones, allowing for seamless integration within the existing layout and complementing other new additions introduced as part of the redevelopment.

These include:

• Indoor adventure golf
• Enhanced high and low ropes courses
• Bear Grylls Escape Rooms
• Expanded Tots Zones
• A new sports bar concept, Hat-Tricks, featuring interactive games

Designed with flexibility in mind, the installation supports a space-efficient and adaptable footprint, contributing to a more scalable environment where multiple activities can operate cohesively.

An Experience-Focused Shift in the Sector

This installation reflects a broader shift across the UK holiday park sector.

Operators are increasingly investing in layered, experience-driven environments, moving beyond traditional facilities to create destinations that offer continuous engagement throughout a guest’s stay.

The redevelopment at Parkdean Resorts is a clear example of this direction, combining a mix of high-energy, social, and family-focused activities to meet rising expectations.

Within this wider shift, Off-Road Rangers provide a flexible, all-weather activity that supports consistent guest engagement throughout the year.
