The next step is simple – share your plans and we’ll work together to make it happen
Ben, one of the owners at Holme Valley, first came across Aqualand at an industry innovation show. “We just walked past the stand and saw the vehicles and thought, wow, they’ve got a real wow factor,” he recalls. Like many small independent sites, Holme Valley wasn’t sure a project like this was within reach. As a smaller operator, they needed something to set them apart from other caravan parks and holiday parks in the area — but without the space or budget of a larger attraction.
Working with the Aqualand team, Holme Valley built a track using mostly what the park already had on site, paired with a Crazi-Bugz solution tailored to fit their budget. It’s a practical example of how a budget-friendly activity solution can still deliver a genuinely premium guest experience.
“Initially, we didn’t really think we were big enough business to do this, but they just held our hand all the way through,” Ben says. “They made it easy, and they had a solution that fitted our business.” From track planning and layout through to operational advice and promotional support, Aqualand guided Holme Valley at every stage — turning an ambitious idea into an achievable, revenue-generating outdoor activity.
Sustainability was a key consideration too. Holme Valley has long positioned itself as a green holiday park, working towards becoming carbon neutral. The fact that Crazi‑Bugz are electric ride-on vehicles fitted perfectly with that ethos, allowing the park to add an exciting new attraction without compromising on its environmental commitments — a growing priority across the UK leisure and outdoor tourism industry.
“Seeing the enjoyment the kids get from riding around on the Crazi‑Bugz means it’s adding so much to our business. It’s not just financial — it’s a real feel-good and wow factor.”
— Ben, Holme Valley Camping & Caravan Park
“Supporting smaller operators is something we’re passionate about. Helping Holme Valley realise their vision was a brilliant example of how flexible our approach can be.”
- Carl Byford, Aqualand Industries

The Crazi-Bugz track has become a standout feature of Holme Valley’s guest offer — a point of difference that’s helping the park compete with larger holiday parks and caravan parks on guest experience, not just facilities. It’s a clear demonstration that with the right partner, even limited space and modest budgets can deliver a big-impact family activity.
Ben’s advice to other small operators considering a similar attraction is simple: “If you’re thinking of contacting Aqualand, or you think you might be able to do something like this — just go for it. Get to know them, give them some time, and they’ll make it work for you.”
There’s a nice detail behind the scenes too: Aqualand’s manufacturing base is in Holmfirth, just down the road from Holme Valley — making this one of the closest-to-home projects the team has delivered, and a reminder that support doesn’t have to come from far afield.
For smaller venues exploring their options, Aqualand’s range of outdoor leisure equipment goes well beyond Crazi-Bugz. BucketGolf can be offered as a guest rental activity or installed as a permanent fixture, while FootPool StrikR9 provides another compact, budget-friendly attraction — both designed to tailor to venues of any size, from small independent sites to larger holiday parks and visitor attractions.
