The next step is simple – share your plans and we’ll work together to make it happen
Aqualand’s relationship with Haven began six years ago, growing out of an initial installation at Golden Sands timed alongside the group’s build-out of Adventure Village attractions – high ropes, low ropes and jump towers. That relationship has since grown across multiple Haven sites; at Devon Cliffs specifically, it’s centred on a fleet of Adventure-Trukz, upgraded from a previous, less durable model, as the site looked to run its activities more efficiently.

Devon Cliffs’ team also uses Aqualand to source ideas it can’t find anywhere else in the UK or Europe: bringing a brief, however ambitious, for Aqualand to develop into a working product, handling the third-party safety inspection needed to run it confidently on-site. That same relationship underpins the fleet at Devon Cliffs today:
• New product development from an operator brief through to a signed-off, site-ready attraction
• Bespoke customisation, including Haven-blue liveried vehicles to match brand standards
• Third-party safety sign-off, so new products can go straight into operation
• Ongoing refinement, with the vehicles strengthened over time based on how they hold up under real guest use
As one of Haven’s busiest sites, Devon Cliffs puts serious daily wear on its equipment: kids on holiday get the most out of everything they’re given, and the Adventure-Trukz are no exception. UK-based servicing means Aqualand can respond quickly, whether that’s planned maintenance during quieter periods or a fast turnaround when something needs fixing mid-season.
On-site training means Devon Cliffs’ own team can handle smaller issues without waiting on a call-out, with Aqualand on hand for anything bigger. Where the vehicles have needed strengthening to handle real-world use, Aqualand has modified the kit directly – using Devon Cliffs as a proving ground for improvements that then get rolled into the wider product.
"It's more like a partnership than a contractor-client relationship... we've been able to get that real testing environment that actually points out the flaws of what is essentially a prototype to begin with."
- Simon Palmer, former Head of Activities, Leisure & Arcades, Haven (Devon Cliffs)

Devon Cliffs works within a structured annual capital budget, which doesn’t always line up with when a good opportunity comes along. To work around that, Aqualand offers three ways to bring new kit on site – lease, outright purchase, or revenue-share – chosen deal by deal depending on the product and the budget cycle.
Revenue-share has been particularly useful for newer, less-proven products: it lets Devon Cliffs try something without upfront capital, while both sides share in the risk and the reward if it performs well.
• Proven reliability: consistent servicing and fast turnaround have kept fleets running through peak season, even under heavy use.
• Staffing flexibility: on-site training lets the team resolve smaller issues without waiting on outside support.
• Product evolution: operator feedback has directly shaped vehicle design and durability improvements over time.
• Capital flexibility: lease, buy and revenue-share options mean new attractions don’t have to wait for the next budget cycle.
• A six-year partnership: what began as a single Haven-wide relationship has grown into a trusted, ongoing arrangement at Devon Cliffs.
Devon Cliffs shows what’s possible when a partnership runs deeper than a single purchase – flexible commercial terms, UK-based servicing, and a product that evolves based on real-world feedback from your own site.
